Welcome to the Orlando Wakeboard Academy

web front

At the Orlando Wakeboard Academy, we believe wakeboarding is a sport that should be based on having fun with friends and family while allowing each person to push themselves beyond their expectations. We teach wakeboarding, wakeskating, wakesurfing, and waterskiing to all ages and skill levels. We pride ourselves on being one of the most flexible and affordable wakeboard schools/camps in Orlando. Please explore our site to find out a little more about who we are and what we offer.

New for 2008

new for 2008

Happy New Year!!! We have a lot of exciting things going on this year. We have changed our house around a bit, so click HERE to see our set up. We also have some O’Brien product in the office (now our little pro shop) so once you fall in love with the Valhalla and Xenons, you can purchase them for a GREAT price. Adding to the pro shop, we finally had t-shirts made, so you can click HERE to see what they look like. They are $20 plus tax.

Some of our SPONSORS have changed, so please take some time to explore the great companies that are supporting us.

Make sure you check out our students pictures album. We updated our student photos for 2007 and added a 2008 album. And lastly, we’ve changed our 2008 prices and updated our 2008 application and you can find them both HERE.

Thanks to everyone for all the great memories in 2007! We can’t wait to have an even better year in 2008.

Weekly Trivia

Happy Monday Evening!!!

Every Monday, we are going to post a Weekly Trivia question on the front page. The topics to these questions will be completely random; wakeboarding, music, animals, etc. The first person that emails us the correct answer to this question will win their choice of a free wakeboard lesson at the Orlando Wakeboard Academy, a free Orlandowake t-shirt, or $100 off a Week Session with Accommodations at our camp.

We just want to test your knowledge and give you an opportunity to win some stuff. Here are the Terms and Conditions.

Congratulations goes to Jason Jakober once again for winning last week’s trivia question! See below for the answers to last week’s questions.

The Question for this week is:

In the most recent video added to our site, Sean lands two tricks that he had never landed before. What are the two tricks?

You can submit your answers HERE.

Last week’s question and answer are:
What wakeboard company was the first to put molded fins on their boards and what year was it?

And the answer is… Bad Ass was the first company to add molded fins to wakeboards back in 1999.

OWA has a good G.P.A.

DCWAKE
Chase Tydings reviewed our camp, along with five others in Florida, for www.DCWake.com. If you want to learn a little more about us from a customer’s point of view, click HERE . It’s a great source for learning about and comparing some of the wakeboard camps in the area. The review is very well written, almost totally unbiased (we tried to pay him), and very accurate. We have to say that because we were the only one in the class to get an A (on the 10 pt. scale, of course.)

Thanks to Chase for all of the kind words and converting to wakeskating! Nice Shuvit!!!
